2003 Alero Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions Needed

Help! Do not want to pay the dealership to do this -- I'm hoping someone happens to know the steps to program a keyless entry remote for a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. Any help would be appreciated!!

remote programming

A mechanic who uses a code reader should be able to program your remotes for you you will need all remotes and it is an easy quick process. I have a friend who uses a code reader ro check stereo problems and he programs remotes cheap.

I don't know how much different the 2003 is from the 1999, but here's the procedure for the 99. Can't hurt to try, or you can look in your owner's manual if you have one. That's where I got this procedure from.

From a '99 Alero Owners Manual............
To resynchronize your keyless remote:
1. Stand close to the vehicle
2. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter at the same time.
3. Hold the buttons for five seconds. In this time the doors should lock and unlock once. This confirms the resynchronization.
