1988 Chevy Truck
Well, it took long enough. If anyone hasn't followed the few posts I have made, I have an 88 Silverado. I completely redone the exterior, new paint, trim, etc. Drove it for a year, sold it to a kid on payments, he blew it up (spun 2 rod bearings). I took it back because he didn't finish paying for it. I put a 1963 SBC 283 in it, It ran good, until the kid helping me out put water in the block instead of antifreeze. Last winter it froze. So I pulled the engine and trans because it blew the freeze plugs. In the mean time I acquired a 1993 c1500 w/t with a 4.3L. The guy said the trans was bad and the engine had a slight knock. I changed the fluid and filter and the trans shifts great, new flexplate cured the slight knock. SO... I changed the engine/trans/wiring harnesses, computer, gauge cluster.
I finished this morning!!! IT RUNS!!
