uncertified rims?
Anyone know what the ramifications of using non-certified rims would be? Would it just cancel insurance coverage if they were discovered on the car, or if they were found to be the cause of an accident should one happen?

Re: uncertified rims?
they are non-cert for a reason. you might hit a rock and bend them out of place. stick with cert. also non-cert i do believe tire companies wont honor their warrantee.

Re: uncertified rims?
I just started working at a custom rim shop, and the reason that the rims are not certified is the amount of money that it takes to get them certified. Mostly, the rims being made are used for racing or show cars, Monday I got to make rims for a Lambrogini (sp?). They are nice looking rims, 3 piece, aluminum with a mirror finish.
I was wondering about the ramifications because once we are caught up on the orders, I might have a chance to make a set for myself. |
