ARGH! What to do next after reprogram P10 remote??? Help!
Ok, I
1. locked all the doors via center console switch 2. popped trunk using drivers door switch 3. insert/remove master key 8X's 4. manually unlocked/locked driver's door 5. pushed lock on the remote and nothing happened. When I push the lock button is something suppose to happen. Did I miss something. Am I supposed to then close the trunk and all should work. HELP! I am getting frustrated, already pissed off and I am still thinking the damn eBay guy sold me a freakin crapped out remote! He said it worked when he sold it. Here are the specs: FCC: A269ZJA073 DOC/MDC: 700K922 And I already contacted the dealer with my VIN #. My car does have the keyless remote entry already.

Hey, NismoPC
First: the specs check out fine - my key fobs havethe exact same FCC ID and DOC/VDS numbers, and they reprogrammed OK. Second: no you won't see or hear anything after you've reprogrammed both fobs. Just step out of the car and test it: lock/unlock. When I followed the instructions(first the lock on the centre console, then the 8x) - it worked like a charm. If it doesn't work the second or third time - I don't know... Maybe the battery inside the fob is toast? Try another. Good luck!!! |

Reprogramming procedures - UPDATE
I just looked up the other thread here on the very same subject(P10 Alarm), based on which I successfully reporgrammed mine
and realized that there is one BIG difference in your procedure: Step 4 should be: 4.Unlock doors via auto (on centre console, not manually) and 5. Lock doors via auto (on centre console, not manually Then 6. Press lock button on remote once Once again keep in mind that you won't see or hear anything special, but that should do the trick. Repeat steps 4-5-6 for the second remote. Best of luck! |

I'm sorry to hear that.
Have you tried another battery in the remote? If so, the _only_ other thing I can offer is to keep trying. Anyone else? Maybe Sam(G20t94) from the other thread on the same subject (P10 Alarm - How to program 2 keyless remotes) here in the Audio/Security has other suggestions? Good luck! |

Thanks for the help dktorcan, but I was actually just trying to program one.
My car supposedly has keyless entry but no remote according to the dealership and my VIN #. So I bought a used remote and swapped a list member a 2000 remote for a new P10 remote. Both the used and new remotes had full power 3V batteries and still did not work. So I find that I supposedly don't have the actual keyless entry module, only the factory alarm. What a bugger! I got so frustrated so I installed my 10 year old Viper 300 this weekend and it has door locks, trunk release, dual shock, much more and it works great. Now I am a proud P10 G20 owner with Keyless entry. Woohoo! End of story!
