Im about to swap a dohc zc into my 90 civic hb si. I know that my si ecu will work, but i read 5that it will only run it @ about 105 hp. and the teg ecu will run it at 130-135 hp. I know the teg ecu is a better choice, but will it make that much of a difference?

Not sure of the exact HP... But I doubt its that drastic... Performance will be much better with a PG7 (86-89 Integra ECU), and that much better with the PM7 (ZC ECU)... Reason is because of the fuel maps...

Re: Question about zc swap ecu
If you do get the PG7.... try not to push it to the red line. the DOHC ZC is supposed to redline at about 7200 but the PG7 has a rev limit of 7500.

No worries though, for some reason, my motor has withstood the abuse I put it through.

I did a rev limiter check the other day on mine... Nothing is scarier than feeling your baby 'choke' at a high RPM...
![]() Main reason I would never get a chipped ECU, unless it had a rev limit... |

Re: Question about zc swap ecu
the 88-89 teg ecu is the best (next to ZC) the 90-93 teg will make u run rich (90 miles on half a tank) Si is good though....

Re: Question about zc swap ecu
im using a chipped pm6 and i love it. 7200-7400 red line and speed limiter removed.
