Wiring help with Indglo Sport Pedals

I just got some of those street glow neon pedals but i'm not quite sure how to wire them. I know you have to wire them to a 12v source in the fuse box or something to that effect but im not exactly sure how to do it. Also, is there a way i can wire them as to where they would come on with my parking or headlights???

Re: Wiring help with Indglo Sport Pedals

Does the set of pedals have 2 wires to hook up? One red, one black?

Re: Wiring help with Indglo Sport Pedals

You'll want to run the ground wire(either black or silver colored) to the body of the car (somewhere that is metal and conects to the body of the car) And the positive (either copper colored or red) to the fusebox. You'll want to find the fuse for your dash lights and connect it there. But be careful running your wires. You want to make sure that they are out of the way of your feet and that they wont get pinched when you step on any of your pedals. You will also want to make sure that you connect the wire so that it "uses" the fuse in your fuse box(which means that you will have to pull the fuse and then either use the posative wire for one of the pedals or ues a test light and touch it to each contact one at a time"there should only be two" find the one that does'nt have power when you turn your dash lights on.) That will be where it connects. That way if the wire gets shorted the fuse will blow and the wire wont burn up. you will also want to run a slightly stronger fuse in your fuse box since the pedals will draw more amps. not alot though or it wont blow if something goes wrong and it could cause a fire. Id say if the fuse was 15 amps go to at the most 20 amps. But test it with the original fuse first just to be safe.
