Irratic Idle when cold

I just changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor last night, but when the engine is cold the idle still surges even to the point of stalling out the engine. The unburned gasoline smell is no longer in the exhaust though . Do I need to check the TPS sensor? Other thoughts? Thanks.

Chris

Replace your IAC valve. It controls Idle Air Control and is the main cause of your problem as it was in mine. PS It is a do it yourself job.

Re: Irratic Idle when cold

On the top of the intake manifold center engine rear it has a white or yellowish little cover on the front and two plugs.
