Magnum RT can beat a Lotus?

I love seeing the comercial of the red Magnum RT beating on the Lotus when they can't even beat a Regal. Yep i got one today since the streets dried again. I see this guy crusing ALL the damn time here in Canton along Lincoln Way probably looking for races like me
Anyway i cut a couple people off trying to line up with this dude and i finally did! I was kind of nervous lining up with him since i have driven a dozen of these at work and know their quick but we took off at the same exact time and were even to about 35 and i starting creeping on him and got almost 2 cars on him by the time we hit about 90mph. I boy was a pumped i got to add a Magnum RT to my kill list. I turned, he gave me thumbs up as i did also. I'm FINALLY getting some damn races in this thing! I think the sound of the blower eggs people on by itself finally haha

When I drove them at work, I remember being pleasantly surprised with the Hemi, but not overly impressed. Nice throttle response, but I remember really thinking they were over-hyped in the commercials.

Yeah work at a very large dealership and we have an AWD Hemi model for sale and that thing is sweet!! That one would probably kill me pretty good. We have an SRT8 Magnum and 300 ordered and on their way also. Their both already sold. lol
Can't wait to test drive them!

My dad added the Chrysler 300C to his list of cars hes lookin at getting (His exact quote was "The only problem teh Chrysler 300C its a Chrysler"). Im excited, gonna try and get some wheel time on the cars hes lookin at (545i, 300C, revert back to the dark side and get another MB S class)...Good kill. I've always laughed at that comercial, its like the one where the show the Toyota Tacoma beating the Ferrari (when the race off road)

remember that there were some pretty damn slow lotuses made in the late 80's (some had turbocharged 4 cylinders with only 210 hp)

210 for a 4 banger is decent? And, these reguls are the equivalent of a GTP. Probably just weight more..

. My unlce gave me the opportunity to "test" drive his 300C. Couldn't care less about how fast it was, because it is a real head turner all by itself. Just so smooth and comfy on the road that, despite it had the "Hemi", it was still awesome to drive. L8...

Dodge really overhyped that engine. I dunno how they are claiming 345 horsepower in them, when they are only churning out 255 whp. Good kill. Keep killing them, and maybe the owners will protest to Dodge

210 pony's from a Lotus is not all that slow, they are tiny cars and thats pretty high on the power to weight ratio. I dont know what the 2005 Lotus's put out, but I know they are quick and they use a turbocharged four(modded celica gts engine).

The 2005 elise isnt turbo...from the factory at least

They put down like 190-200hp stock but still run like low 14sec 1/4 mile. However the best thing about the cars is how they handle. I dont think there is too many cars under a 100,000 that could out handle it. And the elise is only like 40k. Now add a turbo to that and you got an even more bad ass car.

elise's while sexy, are ugly at the same time. the sex-factor is that its a lotus. i would much rather have an Esprit! but yeah supposedly the chassis only weighs 150 lbs, the entire car weighs in at under 2000, which allows the 190hp toyota engine to catapult it to 60 in under 5 seconds and have a top speed of 150mph
