Brake Light Problem

Hello Can Some One Help Me I Have A 2001 Yukon (not Xl) And Recently I No Longer Have Rear Brake Lights & Cruse Control All Other Lights Woork Inclouding 3rd. Brake And I Think Thats The Only Thing That Keeping Me On The Road Can Eny One Held?

Dunno if this might help you pinpoint the source of the issue, but IIRC the cruise control is tied into the rear brake lights in order to detect when the CC is deactivated (e.g., when you press the brake pedal). If that is the case, then whatever is tied into the two might be a failure point.

check the fuse. then check the multifuntion switch. the highmount brake light is on a different circuit and is the one the cruise uses.

same problem

I havin a similar problem with my 97 yukon. Only happens when the headlight switch is turned on...Changed both tail light sockets where the bulbs plug in because both sockets on the middle lights(turn signal bulbs) showed signs of bein burnt....Did not fix my problem
