Supercharger care
Okay Okay I know there are probably 50 other threads on this but what can I do for regular supercharger maintenance? I know to change the fluid but how and with what? Would it be better to go synthetic or change out with factory stuff? Can I do any other maintenance stuff without taking the S/C off the motor? What's the lifespan on the blower assembly as far as mileage goes? Can the PCM be reprogrammed to prolong the motor and S/C life overall?

I haven't yet done any maintenance to my SC yet, but really should. I only know what I have read for SC maintenenace and that is really just change oil every 30k miles. As far as life expectancy goes, a guy at one of GMs dealerships told me that the SC usually tends to go out around 80 - 120k miles. I would assume this maybe if you didn't properly maintain it. My car right now has about 115k miles on it and have no problems what so ever from the SC, and according to car fax there hasn't been any maintenance to it as far as it knows, previous owner of the car was an older guy prolly in his 50's or 60's.

Thanks fellas. I think I'm going to change the S/C oil on my next oil change here in about a 1000 miles or so. Thanks again.
