99 Explorer washer pump
My first post so please bear with me. I have a 99 ecplorer xlt 4door. My front and rear washer died. The wipers work but the fluid doesnt come out. I hear no pump noise at all. I was thinking I have a bad washer pump, but is there one pump that feeds both the front and rear washers? If they have seperate pumps then I cant see both going out at the same time. I checked the fuses and they are all good. Any ideas?

If all the fuses are good, the pump in reservoir has quit. You may need to remove washer bottle to access the pump. If you have a test light, check to be sure you are getting current to the pump first. Good luck.

I also have this problem because for some reason the fuse keeps blowing. See this thread for a possible solution.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=368511 I have not had opportunity to fix mine but another person has. I'm hoping my fix will be as simple. Curt. |
