I have a 1996 P10 and the OE CD player has started giving me trouble. When I put a CD in, the display says "ALL" above "CD". Then it won't play any tracks. Instead, the unit ejects the disk, and then sucks it back in two or three times before giving up. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a fatal problem or is it an easy fix? Also, my antenna mast was bent recently so I unplugged the motor until I get a new mast. Could these problems be related?

Hi there,
I'm not aware of this problem as I installed my own Minidisc player. Before you look at it as being too complicated, have you tried just cleaning it with a good quality CD cleaner disc? If that hasn't solved it, it sounds possible that when you fiddled with the aerial, you may have adjusted the properties of the head unit? I'm no expert, but just trying to offer simple advice Hope you get it fixed soon. Jim |

Re: OE Head Unit
Bin the head unit & buy a new ariel ...... Most motor accessory shops hold them ..... They do a universal kit with lots of adaptors so one antenna fits most cars
