Re: any1 wanna see a Chevette w/ a small block??

ok, im sorry but a 305 and 307 motors suck its a family V8 really 350 and higher now for that 80's vette you really need a HO 350 or 383 storker or better yet a big block other then that a 307 is not a beast ok,

Re: any1 wanna see a Chevette w/ a small block??

81chevette- I see where you went with this project. Relative to all things a 307 is a huge increase in power. While everyone can't be fortunate enough to have 1000HP street machines, the power to weight ratio on this combo is quite good enough. It may be made fun of by some but it's the perfect sleeper.

Until somebody comes along to bankroll you so the car can be done the way they want it, always do your own thing. If it is relatively quiet those unsuspecting riceball cars will choose it and be blown away. A Camry driver isn't even stupid enough to run with a 396 Chevelle as it sits loping on the cam belching from the paper thin mufflers.

I agree; different strokes for different folks. You build with what you have, and you spend what you can afford. We're not all make of money with unlimited bank rolls. Not everyone likes all the cars ever put together, but the guy who builds his own, has all the bragging rights he needs. It a different pleasure to build your car, than to open your check book for someone elses.
