Strange warning light- not in manual
For the last three days, I have had a strange warning light appear intermittently. The parking brake light and another strange looking symbol have been appearing on my dash. The strange symbol is a circle with a wavey line at the bottom (looks like the water symbol). I can't find it in the manual. One dealership says it means low brake fluid and another says I need the igniter switch replaced. I don't believe either one. Could it be related to the extreme cold as the last poster said?

light
I looked in my service manual for my 2002 Olds and I can't find anything either. Where is this light in relationship to the brake light? Is it next to or above the brake light? If you can guide me alittle here I will shine a flashlight on my dash and see if I see something that looks like similar.

Re: light
Hi there, thanks for replying. This strange symbol appears directly below the emergency parking brake light. But other symbols appear there as well, like traction control, etc.. I think it is low brake fluid level. The truck only has 30,000 km on it and brakes have never been done. Could it be that brakes need to be done or is it likely that there is a brake fluid leak somewhere?

Baby141. I gave you an answer on the other post. I will check my Silhouette for this light when the weather breaks. We are having a snow storm (1 foot) of snow and blizzard conditions right now and I can't get to my Silhouette.
This unknown light, does it appear in the 1 inch sq. LED that shows ( door ajar, battery ect)? |
