Question astro door lock

i am looking for a diagram for the door lock mech. for a 1990 astro. I can not open the drivers door from the outside. found a part that came off, but dodt know where it goes to fix the problem. need some help

Try www.autozone.com
They have a repair guide for the '90.
If you know this part already, ignore the rest -
click the "current vehicle" link and select your vehicle information. Under their vehicle repair guides link you'll find a link for body and trim. They have diagrams of the lock mechanism there.
