My G20 may very well be totalled.

I was driving behind this kid, when all the sudden (while snowing) he decides to make a quick left turn with no slowing down, no brakes, no signal.

I was to close, so I tried to make my way around him.. didnt work, now my G20 has a snapped front axle, ruined from right rim, busted CV joint, probably busted sway bars. ruined front and back right quarter pannels. And probably more.

On the plus side, the car still starts. Just doesnt move because the wheel isnt attached to the car.

Any of you guys know aprox how much this would all cost to repair? I really dont want to lose my G20...

Any ideas would be great.. I know nothing about the internal workings of the engine and parts and all that. I only know car audio.

I feel very sorry to what happened to you. It sound like a big bucks repair for me. You may have bent your suspension control arm or stuff like that. It would be 3 grands plus maybe a lot more.

Sorry to hear about your car......it makes mine look very sad to yours.
Dont know how much, but in New Zealand, i would say the insurance company would be sending you the money for a new one.

yeah its probably a better ida to get the money from insurance by declaring it totaled. this way u can get a car that wasnt in an accident. if u fix it it could still have some minor problems jus b/c of the fact it was in an accident. my friend did kinda of the same thig to his accord. he declared it totaled, the insurance guy looked at it and told him hed get 4000 for it. not to bad.

Yup I think you should get the insurance brokers to look at it ..but have the car towed to your house so you can remove any upgrades that you've done to the car. Since if the insurance decides to get ya a new car ..they won't allow you to take your good stuff off since it is technically and lawfully theirs now.

This just goes to show, that in inclimate weather you should keep a safe following distance. If you cannot avoid someone taking a turn in front of you, you are either following to close, or driving too fast. My guess is you were too close if it was snowing out, cause you can't turn fast in the snow.
What happened to the other car?

Mike

Yeah, where is it snowing now? Are you south of the Equator somewhere. Feel free to fill out the "location" field in your profile.

Good luck with getting your car fixed/replaced. And learn not to follow too closely.

Sorry to hear that man. You should tell your insurance company that the car was totaled because even if they fix your g, it would still be considered salvaged and that would really bring down the value of your car.
