93 Camry electrical problem - no power
I have a 93 Camry XLE with 59K miles. This is the third time in the last week that when going to start the car ti was completely dead. The first 2 times just by bumbling around the shift lever the car then miraculously had power and started. This time, no such luck. The battery is 1.5 years old and test fine. The ground also tests fine from the battery cable to the engine. I also tries backing out fuses, 3 at a time with the ignition switch on to see any sign of panel/guage life but nothing. My Haynes describes a main breaker with a reset button but I'm unable to locate it. Any thoughts?

I have a 94 Camry LE. For the past few months I was having similar problems. I would turn the key and get a click. That was it. If I tried it a few times it would eventually start. It started getting worse. It was taking much longer to get it started. I took it to my mechanic and it worked great for him. It usually worked great after driving around all day. My mechanic checked everything, battery, distributor, starter. Everything checked out. He was baffled. I left it with him overnight so he could experience the problem for himself. It was the starter. Something about dipping below ten volts or something like that. Anyway, he installed a new starter and now it fires up instantly no matter how cold it is. Hope that helps.

Re: 93 Camry electrical problem - no power
Are you able to crank it right after you kill it? Do all the electronics work when it is running? Can you Jump it off? Have you checked you terminals? they might be corroded. It might be your alt., but probably not bacause your battery holds its charge.
