anyone know of a way to lock an old truck hood? I have a 63 chevy c10 and i was wondering if there was any type of way besides a chain or something to lock the hood?

thanx

Re: hood locks?

A chain will work or course. May be best if truck is unattended for long periods. It's is possible to make an inside hood release/lock. Use a push/pull cable like a universal choke cable kit. You can tinker around with a small bar across the manual hood release that blocks the latch from moving so it won't release when someone outside is pulling on the manual one. You'll need to use some assorted small hardware to make the thing but it's cheap. It's almost easier eyeball it and to do it than to explain.
