Need help removing the fuse relay center 97 Grand Caravan
I'm in the process of replacing the driver's side healight bulb in my wife's 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan and was able to remove the large black retainer housing in back of the bulb housing and now I need to remove the fuse relay center which is about smack dab right in back of where I need to reach in in order to turn the retainer ring for the bulb. I was able to undo all the 10mm bolts that hold the fuse relay center (frc) down, but at the front end of it, there's this stopper, bumber looking thing that is sticking through the opening on the frc bottom housing and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it out of there without reefing on anything!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me information on how to remove the FRC and/or replacing the headlight bulb (driver's side). |

Hi. The fuse/relay center just flops over towards the battery. You may have to move or remove the battery to do this. If this doesnt give you enough room, you can unhook the relay center and remove it. Once the wiring harnesses are all unhooked as well as the battery connection, just push the whole unit towards the front of the van and the rear pivot should clear, allowing you to lift it out. You may have to push a little hard. Good luck!
