Follow up to the trans. leak (sob story)

First of all, I want to thank everyone who responded to my post last week about the transmission leak that will not go away.

Well, I have followed some advice and have de-greased under the car and found where the leak is coming from...

...the torque converter cover. And this is on purpose. So, the leak is being directed on through a hole that is supposed to be there, which now leaves several possibilities...

1) the torque converter was not put in properly and has busted the seal

2) the shop actually diagnosed it right the 5th time when it said a bearing had gone bad...

so, what is this bearing and how much is this going to cost me? (I'm thinking Aamco)

Also, there was a lot of talk about legal action against the shop that fixed my car wrong all those times. Now, personally I just want this thing fixed and done with, but, for those of you in the business, how common would it be to at least get my money back since I never needed the yoke or torque converter in the first place?

So what do you all think?

1) what is this bearing/what does it do?
2) where is it?
3) how much is this going to cost me?
4) should I get my money back for the yoke and torque converter?

Thank you all again,
Ben
