Re: engine codes

You need to replace the driver's side knock sensor and service the purge solenoid on your evap charcoal canister.

Re: engine codes

I suggest you pick up a haynes or chilton's repair manual for your truck to help you in the future.

Knock sensor is on the driver's side center.

I don't know where the purge solenoid is on your truck seing I have never yet had to service one yet.

Re: engine codes

The purge solenoid runs across the drivers side of the upper plenum... Kinda looks like to small vac diaphrams housed in plastic connected by about 1-1/2 inches of 3/8 rubber hose....But just do the knock sensor first (sits between plugs 3 and 5 and has a single wire coming off of it. To remove it use a 22mm deepwell socket. When you pull it, immediately put in the new one as you will drop some coolant...

Re: engine codes

And make sure you use some thread seal tape on it before you install it.

Re: engine codes

I am just saying if it doesn't not to install it without any thread sealant on it.
