95 Jimmy SLS - Transmission problem
I bought my 95 Jimmy (Vortec 4.3L) used, about 10 months ago. So I don't know the history. My transmission started "slipping" about 4 months ago. Now it barely engages at all. Last night it took me 1hour to make a 15-minute trip because the trans would barely engage before slipping again. Reverse seems to be completely gone. I have changed the CPI unit on this car, but this sounds like something over my head. Any thoughts???

Is the fluid low? Burned? Filled with metal shavings? Sounds like you need a rebuild.
