comparing 5k cars

Im 16 and am looking into buying a performance car. im willing to spend up to 5k us dollars. i would like the car to have under 100k miles and be able to run 14s in the quarter stock or with few mods. i would also like the car to be newer than 15 years. thanks

Quick cars that you could possibly find under 5K that are newer than 15 years:

1990-1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0/GT
1990-1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
1990-1992 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z/Z28

That's all off the top of my head. Maybe a souped-up Civic or Mopar Turbo could do it, but I don't know enough about those to make a recommendation on them.

Sorry, there have been about a thousand "5g performance cars" comparos in this forum so i'm going to have to lock this one.

Please use the search feature to find these threads (and please don't revive any old ones). If your research narrows it down to more specific choices and they have yet to be compared, feel free to start a new comparo.
