b16 swap vtec question
i as wondering i was told my vtec wasnt hooked up here is a pic http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg
just wanted to make sure that was the vtec first off and if it is where do i go about then? i have a ecu that supports vtec its the PR3 where could i get the wires to hook it up etc..... thanks in advance Tyrell |

oh yeah forgot to add its a b16 out of a 2000 civic si if that makes any diff thanks

yes that picture definitally helps a lot thank you and yeah the engine is in and runs fine thats why i was asking about the vtec... i still seems fast (will the vtec make that much of a diff?)

i havent gone outside yet to check the knock sensor but when i was putting on the catback exhaust i noticed a 2nd o2 sensor but the wires are cut and not connected to anything
what do i need to do about that? thanks alot i really do appreciate your help.Tyrell |

the 2 o2 sensors should be right by the exhaust manifold, by the engine code stamp!!!
For the o2 sensor you have 2 options. 1.Splice them both together and run them to the stock single o2 sensor on your wiring harness 2. (Best way) Run the second o2 sensor to pin C8 You will need to hook up the knock sensor also. If you need i can take another pic for you. -Andrew |

thanks for all the help i just went to the junk yard today and found a del sol that was wrecked and saw the wires that where suppost to go on to the vtec so now i have the wires
but on the o2 sensor.... my car has a after market header on it and there is no o2 sensor on it... what should i do there is a o2 sensor down further right before the cat but the wires are cut and just hanging there... thanks again tyrell

There has to be an o2 sensor.. Try looking behind the engine where it meets up with the CAT converter.
Wait Wait, you mean that in a junkyard by you there is a del sol Dohc vtec with the engine still in it? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grab the engine asap!!!! |

ill take sum pics tomorrow of my exhaust so you can see what i am talking about... and about the del sol yah its a dohc vtec but it has been gone threw... such a shame... parts off the engine, they should of just sold the whole engine, but i got what i needed off of it so i am happy... lol. talk to ya tomorrow Tyrell

Well the block and head are worth a lot still and im sure it wouldnt cost more than 200 bucks! What shape is it in.
