transmission noise

I have a '92 Lumina Euro with a 3.1. Here lately when shifting from park to drive it doesn't really jerk anymore it usually just makes a click noise, anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

Re: transmission noise

Check the roll restictors on the front of the motor, they break easy. Watch the motor with the hood up when you put it in gear. You'll probably see some abnormal flip or roll happening. Give it a little gas while you hold the brake, and it'll really jump.

thanks that might just be it. When you rev the motor the car acutually dips a little bit and it didn't used to do that either.

Re: transmission noise

They are real easy to replace, and cost about $15 each, I think.
