Lowering my Accord Any Good Tips?

I'm lowering my 90 Accord,

What should i invest in???

Nex Coilover Package???(Struts are built in is that a mistake?? Should i stay away from this style coilover?)

Also the Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs(I'm Very interested in these springs but i'm a little lost on what struts/springs i should pair up with???)

Skunk2 Coilover Package(Interested but again what Shocks/Struts should i pair them up with?)

I'm Just looking for people who have used these lowering applications and there opinions on what i should invest in!!!

Re: Lowering my Accord Any Good Tips?

i personally have NEX on my 90 accord ex sedan. they ride well for the money but i would invest in some adjustables. i had kyb agxs on arospeed coilovers and they sucked. ride was terrible. coilovers were too cheap. i also had tokico blues with their 1.25" drop and they ride well... smooth. only thing it was an unnoticable drop and the handling wasnt as great like a coilover setup. i would invest in teins or the tokico illumina R coilover setup. but if u like full coilovers for cheap then nex does fine to me. ride can get a lil harsh on uneven roads and pot holes and such but on semi-well paved roads they are great. i live in hawaii so the ride is always crap b/c our roads are so so so bad. try look up an article on yahoo or something and you'll see what i mean. u can see wires from the street lights in our pot holes... thats how bad it is. they also repave a road and then a week later dig up pipes and wires and such under it... very dumb state. anyway enough of me talking about roads. NEX arent real stiff but it will definitely increase handling. if u want full handling invest in teins or tokico coilover set up. if u want smooth ride with a nice drop try tein s techs or eibachs. they have good soft spring rates

well i have a 94 accord and just dropped it 2.25 in the front and 2.5 in the back using tockico illumina struts and skunk 2 springs and the ride is unbelivably nice. i am real happy with the ride and quality. i was lookin into coliovers and had just heard bad things about normal coilovers and was told if i was going to go with coilovers at all that i should go with the full coilover setup.i dunno where u live or stuff like that but im going to school in UPstate NY and people up here have said that the salt and shit from the road in the winter can seize the adjustable part up and they wont be able to adjust no more. but thats wat drew me away but if u live somewhere warm then i would go for them. well thats my opinion. Re: Lowering my Accord Any Good Tips?

yea drop spring give an unbelievable ride but cornering isnt as great as coilovers since the spring rate is stiffer. but like skyakord u can make most of it up with the adjustable struts and stiffen that baby up. adjustable coilovers is a must.

Tip #1: Use the search feature. There is plenty of info out there already.
