i use a can i bought a couple of years ago. it's not mirror like, but it's reflective.

you could probably get a can at an auto shop, it's used for painting hubcaps. but if they let you, test it first.

Re: Bros in da house, ar have a query.

Try Alcad II paints. They do a variety of ultra-realistic metal finishes (chrome, aluminium etc)

You also need to buy the Base Gloss Black (also from Alcad). I've bought them but not tried them out just yet. But I bought them after advice from this site. But they are extremely toxic (can cause cancer apparently) so make sure you wear a proper Respirator when applying it, and leave it drying somewhere other than your living room!!

Re: Bros in da house, ar have a query.

Yep, pretty hazardous but impressive finish. Infact, most areas of modellling is hazardous (all the glue fumes, paint fumes will do you harm unless you protect yourself). As long as you use the Respirator you'll be fine.

Anyway, check the web to see if there's any stockists of it in your country. I believe it is American, so was quite surprised to find it stocked in the UK.

PS. The funny thing is, the bottle only states the cancer warning for California!!! Wot's so different with California? I'd still use the Respirator anyway!!

Re: Bros in da house, ar have a query.

The most inexpensive stuff is probably Alclad II it needs to be airbrushed as the cans are hard to find.

If you used the search you would find all sorts of answers.
