Post anti-freeze leaks,rear of intake,,

I checked again,,, changed new hoses,, steamed engine, the
leak is at the pass side at the seam where intake joins heads, real close to the rear edge of intake,,,
or at least thats where the coolant shows up along that seam.?????

What year Vic? Does it have the composite intake? If so, there is a fitting the heater hose goes into. Check it for leaking. Also check the heater hose that comes off the pipe at the rear of the right head.

Re: anti-freeze leaks,rear of intake,,

way2old; Its a 98,,, the hose has been replaced going to heat-core. the connection where hose fits over is hard to see as far a leaking,, I was told that its the possible area to crack as screwed- into intake, is that what your thinking?

That is what I was thinking. If you can clean it off and get a pressure tester on the system, the leak should show. it is possible the hose that was replaced is seeping around the clamp. You can try tightening it just a little to see if leak stops. If it is an intake cracked, it is an expensive repair.
