85 monte

anyone in here ever put a 4 or five speed in the 81-88 monte before?

I started to but decided replacing the trashed 200r4 would be quicker and the same price. I'm told that all the clutch parts from an early 70's chevelle will drop right in. The driveshaft length will probably need to be changed depending on which trans you currently have and which one you are going to. I think that swapping a th350 for a muncie 4sp is a straight deal not requiring a driveshaft change.
By the way, the 200r4 (from Art Carr) only lasted about a week of street driving before 2nd started slipping. Should have gone with the stick. Good Luck.

I would really like to put a standard in the monte , would be alot of fun to drive

why would you een think about putting that on a 4wd frame i just dont see the point in that but i may be wrong
