Question lowering a 90 toy

i have a 1990 toy pickup truck 4wd, 4 cyl, i know that the 2wd is the way to go if you want to lower but say i want to lower it what would i have to do differently to achive the slamed look? i got the truck for free from my dad so it would be pointless to sell it and buy a 2wd, so is it possible thanksw for the feedback!!

lowered 4wd

yes you can lower it
the frame is a little dirrerent
you can turn down the torsion bars
if the rear axle is on top of the leafs you can use blocks to lower it
if it is on the bottom you have to flip the axle on top this is usually good for about 4 inches
if you want to go lower
bag it
we have done a few 4 runners
it is basicly the same chassis

Re: lowering a 90 toy

if its 4wd i'd lift it if its 2wd i'd drop it....its just my opinion...just like what he mention...torsion on front and blocks in the back...what i did is i adjusted the torsion bar in the front about 4 inch drop and changed my leaf sprinf in the back to a 3" drop leaf spring with 1"drop blocks...i wanted to go lower but i had to change my wheels..its flush to the fender..hope this helps!
