well as far as engine/tranny, mine is still quite strong (not as strong as it used to be though) at 170,000. unfortunately i'm starting to have to fix lots of little things. For example, I just did thermostat last week. upper heater hose righht before that, car won't hold an alignment for more than a few months and I go through tires like crazy. needs a starter (1 out of ten starts I have to bang on the starter). and my power stearing pump leaks like crazy.

I'm sure she would be a champ again if I had the money to replace a few things but i'm broke so i have to deal with it for now.

Re: integra life?

Usually it's not the engine that dies, it's everything around the engine that goes. I'm sure a teg engine itself could run for 300k+ miles. But you'd have to replace everything around the engine 2 or 3 times by then.

Re: integra life?

I got a pretty old Integra....1994 with 210 500 km.
To me it still looks good as new and I still love it.

Re: integra life?

My boys got a 1994 LS with over 310,000 kms and just broken in the engines 5th timing belt and has recently changed his alternator, clutch and front brake pads.
He has this car since just over 100,000 kms and he had no problems with the engine. He's a mature owner. He uses Mobil 1 after every 4000-4500 kms and updates his maintenance as required. If you take care of your engine I believe it would last well over 1/2 million kms or 315,000 miles.
Then again just like what DaBat said "you will have to change everything else a handful of times".

my 91 GS has 340,000+ kilometers (not miles) on it, and runs like new, no leaks, no burning oil....... starts right up and runs/drives smooth (pretty much like new)

Thumbs up

My 95 LS has 215,000 miles. Runs great. I have replaced the timing belt as needed, radiator replaced at 150,000, shocks at 175,000, lots of tires. These are 95% highway miles.
