Post '99 G20 P11

I had an incident last night in my not so MIGHTY G and a Honda. Lets just say when I got home I no longer want that car in my driveway. I found a black P11 "T" last night for $16Gz so I have some questions.

Any recalls?
Any problems with the car as I could make pages upon pages on my P10?
Anything i should look for when I buy?

What's wrong with it man? Just give me a brief run down. The P11 is heavier and will be a bit slower than the P10, so what's the problem.

Angry Where do I begin

This car has turned into a money PIT first off.
I had the fifth gear pop-out which I heard the p11's dont have. That was $1800 bucks last month for the tranny w/new clutch kit. As soon as the car came outta teh shop the brakes went r/r caliper, disc, pad. So I changed all four rotors and pads and fixed the caliper.
DID I MENTION NO LEATHER
Now the engine is what really got me going last night.
When the car is moving its fine. But when its at a dead stop that another problem. I smoked the Honda when he rolled up next to me with his resonator roaring up the road (Dropped it into second and left him in the rear view). Then we came to a stop light and the notorious p10 EGR/AIV or whatever the hell it is propblem occured. As the light turned Green I hit the gas and the car hit a flat spot the Honda darted off the line and noticed that I hadn't moved so he stopped then I started going. He saw me moving then he took off and the mighty g started bogging. Then I accelerated and the engine just wasn't pulling the way that it should. I am on my second '2-0 and they both act in the same manner.
DID I MENTION NO LEATHER

Plus I have wanted a P11 since the day I heard they were bringing it back. Although it will hurt me to get rif of my P10 I might have to do it if this problem aint fixed soon!

And the funny thing is when it took it to Bob Stephens at Mccowan/Sheppard they told me to change the plugs?????
Ummmn no! I told em it was more serious than that and they said they gotta start somewhere. So $300 later Im in the same place. I need a new car and a new service center.

I'm with you, mate, the P10 (my P10) is a junky piece of money eating japanese british built metal! I'm so mad at my car!

Brakes need addressing, and so does *all* of the suspension. Well, maybe not all of it, but still. And I don't really have the funds!

I want a P11-144 ... or a P12.

the p10 will need to have parts replaced after 100,000 miles. at that point i had to replace the shocks, redo the cv boot, change the valve cover gaskets. it sounds like someone didn't take care of the engine. that engine should run for 200,000 miles with little overhaul. any car that is older than 7-8 years and over 100,000 miles will require a bit more maintenance. the p10 has been rated the most reliable car by consumer reports.

Damn, you all talk like your 10 year old car should be running strong. What do you expect from a car that old? Let me guess, you probably have over 100k miles as well, right? Were you the first owner? If not, then how do you know your car was treated right? You don't. Your P11 will be the same way in 10 years if not treated right. So you really cannot talk like all P10's are pieces of shit.

My P10 has 103K miles and has never had a problem, never had 5th pop out, etc. . . I don't know what you're talking about. The SR20DE is one of the most reliable engines ever built. YOU MUST PERFORM ROUTINE MAINTAINENCE! Chaning your oil, etc. Any car that has over 100K miles is going to need some work. I need new half-shafts, but who cares, every car needs mainatinence. Besides, I've driven a P11, its a different beast than the P10 (this isn't neccesarily bad, nor good either), they each have their own strong points. You can't expect a 7 or 8 year old car to be perfect.

My 94 P10 is also currently falling apart.

CV-boots(Both Sides)torn, Heater Core is leaking, heater controls 1-3 not working,
flexpipe on my HS has a hole, and the engine is really tired...........

Oh yea, did I mention I am loving it!!!
Give it up for the P10, it is honestly the tightest

As soon as I make it out the driveway, she gets redlined over and over.
Over 100k and still screaming like a banshee at 6800RPM
