Vintage japanese kits (where ARE they?)

Im working on a series of 5 cars, the history of japanese motorsports. no big deal, i have a 240z, a 2000gt skyline, 1600 celica, and i PLANNED on buying a mazda cosmo sport and a few older imports (HAS to be japanese and not another of the car brands i have already(yes i know nissan is datsun but yeah)). but the cosmo is gone, and i might have to settle for a widebody 83' RX7.

Anyways, i am looking for sites selling discontinued kits, from the 1960-1975 era of japanese cars, preferrably some hondas or older cars signifigant to japanese racing history. If bad comes to worse ill buy a toyota 2000gt and a later model skyline. Any suggestions of what models to include would be great also.

only place i can recommend is EBAY. (but i've heard bad stories about the sellers where it says "ships from Hong Kong")

BTW: what about an early Mitsu Cordia? (don't know if there's a model of it though)

Re: Vintage japanese kits (where ARE they?)

Have you been to http://www.hlj.com or even hobbyworld?
HLJ normally has quite a few of the "old school" models, and the fujimi TE27 Levin (corolla, early 70's) is far from uncommon.
Nichimo and Arii make some less common ones - 1800SSS bluebird (610), RX3 and so on.

Is this the kit you're after?

http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetai...op_right_e.asp

Or perhaps this?

I would also suggest building a BRE Datsun 510, a Mazda 787B, and the Honda RA272 formula one car.

Re: Vintage japanese kits (where ARE they?)

There is the Tamiya Honda S800, and Hasegawa do/did the early 70s Levin/Corolla, in rally spec at least (Mikkola?).

I've never had a problem with the Hong Kong ebay sellers, although I've only dealt with the smaller ones.
