1989 BMW 735Il Jump Start?
As silly as this sounds, I couldn't find the battery terminals to jump start my 1989 735iL, and had to jump off the starter. Where is the jumper terminals??

Wow bud you too well I found mine its under the seat cusion of the right rear passenger side.
The only way I remembered about the german cars as I was growing up we had a MB 240D the battery is in the same location. But drove me knots for half hour. Anyway go to http://www.bavauto.com and get your self an E32 manual. For future issues. |

The positive post is just as another member said, under the hood. The negative cable needs to be FIRMLY attached to a good ground on the engine or frame. I always connect it directly under the intake manifold where my cables fit very tightly. I've tried other points to no avail, and this one always works. Good Luck
