my friend needs help

Ok, my friend needs mental help(for buying a 4cyl) and mechanical help...
but anyways, i instaled a new lock and key, and ignition switch, and the car is still not getting power from the ingniton, i can trun the key to run, and nohting turns on...........

Any kind of input on how we can fix this will be very much aprretiated.

Hi, I am the friend, hrm, if he puts it in the Ford Mustang section...that might tell you the car. The year of my POS, I mean 4cyl. is 1988. Any more questions?
