Considering buying a 3 series convertible....

My wife and I are looking into buying a used 3 series convertible. What should we look out for? What are the biggest problem areas of the 3 series convertible? How about the parts and service (we've been told of the horror stories. Now we want the truth from owners, not friends of friends)? Any specific models to look for or avoid? Thanks for the help, if this works out I'll be back.......

We're just kicking tires right now. We're interested in a 1998 325iC.
