Re: South Carolina People

Would you hate NC if you got nailed doing 114 up there? I got picked up in Orangeburg doing 94. I forget the fine; it was a while back. I am in Charleston area now.

Re: South Carolina People

I also just moved here to Charleston for my co-op job. I came down from Flint, Michigan, and I'm trying to find some late night car gatherings around the area. I see a lot of nice looking cars around here, so there has to be somethin goin on. If anyone could point me to the right direction, or even just start one, just let me know. Just to hang out, check out others rides, and talk about cars!

Thanx

Re: South Carolina People

There used to be a lot of people that go to the big parking lot in front of the Super K-mart in N. Charleston. If you aren't busy on Saturday nights and if it's not too far for you check it out. They had an autocross event there last spring. There is going to be an autocross event at Summerville high on Feb 5. First car out is at 10am
I am not positive that the guys still hang out at the Super K (we've been run out of a couple areas) but you can check out the Auto X at www.scca.com go to events (left side), then SeDiv (center of page), find SC regional solo and click on it. I think you can get more info from there.
I won't be out tonight, but look for a pretty stock white 2003 Maxima at the auto X. I'll be there,
spectating.

Re: South Carolina People

Awesome, thanks a lot! I'll be sure to register for the auto x. Mines not too hard to miss, its a black cavy w/ blue streetglow underglow.

Oh, I also checked the Kmart parking lot, but there wasn't any activity there (it was about 12:00); not sure if it was moved or if there just wasnt anything going on tonight.

Re: South Carolina People

I apologize for being so late on some of these posts. I was out last night (thursday) and there were two cavs at the super K and another car, maybe an eclipse (around 8:15). I know the one Cavalier is on the Airbase. It is red with the Lamborghini doors with a large Memphis Audio sticker on the rear window. If you guys are out Saturday, I heard someone say at the AutoX that people are meeting at the old Sams Club lot across from Church's, Schlotzky's, Pep Boys on Rivers. About 9pm would be a good bet. I may be out there.

The AutoX was awesome by the way!

Re: South Carolina People

Good guess SuperStock. So there are car gatherings around here after all. Managed to catch the 9:00 meet on Saturday. It wasnt too bad; there were a few civics, some stangs, and eclipses. The rain kinda spoiled it, but it made for some good drifting. I left not too long after 9, so I didnt catch where the next meet is. SuperStock, where were ya man?

Re: South Carolina People

Besides the rain, this weekend was packed with the SEWE concerts, 96wave boxing at the plex, my in-laws moving and poker. I just couldn't make it. I will be trying for this weekend.

Re: South Carolina People

A new car! oh, do tell; or better yet, do show! I was thinking of the Super Kmart on Rivers since everyone is familiar w/ that location and its seems to be a good meeting ground. I'll be there around 9:30. Just look for the flamin cavy with blue underglow in the middle of the parking lot. Let me know if this sounds good.
