fast idle
i changed the iac valve on my s-10 and unpluged the negative battery cable, still fast idle, its a 5-speed . i saw on another thread where you let it idle for a few minutes with the brake on in gear on a automatic . is there a step like this for the standard model, im changin the vac lines this mornin, thanks steve

yup
yup i did now my beater is runnin better, now i gotta change the wiper motor, 174,000 miles the previous owner changed oil on schedule . motor sounds good. should give me a nice work truck to haul my tools around. the front end had a meeting with a deer but at least its not a whiskey dent, lol adds character steve

I had higher then normal idle once until i noticed one of my vacuum hoses had bad leak in it down by exhaust that burnt hole in it on one side.
