99 ram sport 2wd quad cab infinity primium sound high level interior
Well it all started when I wased her in the bitter cold Ontario winter ! first my radio stayed on with the key off then noticed the interior lights didn't work right any more and the seat belt light would stay on as well and the turn signals would work with the key out of the ign ! there seems to be a few people on this boad that are having the exact same problem ! This is what I have found sofar all this stuff seems to run thru the fuse panel and the fuse called IOD (mine is in a black case) the problem isin't the ign switch because it was changed or the CTM kus tried a new 1 of them to there is a bad wire some where just haven't located it yet !! WHEN I FINE THE PROBLEM I WILL LET YOU KNOW !!!! IF ANYONE ELES FIND'S IT FIRST PLEASE LET THE REST OF US KNOW PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE |

Re: radio,int lights,seat belt.elect problems
I think you have a Chrysler complex wiring system, or at least thats what I call it. I tried to wire a remote starter in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I got it working but can't find any place to hook up the parking lights. I went into the wiring pretty deep without a diagram and it is tricky to say the least. There seem to be many interface devices. I found mini relays labeled as one thing but when I tried to fool it something else happens. No smoke escaped so I put it back together for another day. If you can't find a factory diagram try Alldata. I'm good with this stuff in most cases but I won't look any further without the right info. I wouldn't suspect the body module but some 'thing' telling it what to do. All the switch really does is close a relay or relays someplace to activate the neccesary circuits. If one of those is stuck closed it powers up what it is supposed to. Get the right diagrams and it will be a lot easier.

Re: radio,int lights,seat belt.elect problems
you cantry dialectric greese but i always cut out connector completely then resolder in some trailler plugs to replace original connectors and works good
i don't want to send you on a wild goose chase tracing wiring down but first off fix problem one under seat because this is connected with the central timer modual and giving modual mixed messages and your dome lamps are also connected to central timer so fix one first then if more problems then repost |

Re: radio,int lights,seat belt.elect problems
i do agree with you i am also a chrysler dealer tech
and if you think your wiring is bad you should see their newer minivans from 2001-2005 it's pathetic when a vehicle that has 1000km and already experiencing green wire syndrom |
