Re: FS - OEM EBP spoiler from '02 base model
Don't everybody jump at once.....guess the stock wing ain't so popular as I thought.....nobody on RSX Forums has responded either. Sigh......guess I'll just have to keep it to fill those holes when I sell.....wait a minute - I don't want to sell!!
Well it turns out that the '02 TL shift knob won't fit this car! I guess only post - '03 or '04 (whenever it was redesigned) will. Dang I got some second gear grind this morning on my first upshift into second.....have been noticing that the tranny is very eager to get out of second as well! It hasn't popped out on its own, but it practically jumps when I start to take it out. And this is the 5-speed. |

My si did that from time to time (same tranny) it also had a slight grind going from 2nd to 3rd, but after a little while both went away and havent come back. How long have you had your rsx?

Re: FS - OEM EBP spoiler from '02 base model
Since January 14th. I bought it used with 35,500 on the clock. It's a northern car, originally titled in New Jersey, but otherwise in great shape. And, of course, that blistering 45 degree heat wave is gone, replaced by 30 degree highs. But the other gears don't act that way when it's cold.

Re: FS - OEM EBP spoiler from '02 base model
Im not sure how much of a warranty it has, take it by a honda or acura dealer and if its still under warranty have them check it out because I have heard of some people having synchro problems and getting them replaced under warranty.
Mine did it from about 5k to 10k miles then it went away.

Re: FS - OEM EBP spoiler from '02 base model
Yeah - I have been reading all about it on clubrsx......a lot of people have been in one or more times and it hasn't made any difference, some have had the problem resolved. Was hoping it will go away. I have 1 1/2 years/15,000 miles remaining on original warranty. Nearest dealer is 50 miles away.
Wait - you said Honda or Acura dealer? Do you know that for a fact? When I was shopping for used RSX, I asked a Honda dealer (used car salesperson) if Acura warranty work could be performed at Honda dealer and he said no. There is a Honda dealer in town and that would make my life a lot easier if I can take it there. |

I just assumed that honda might accept acura warranty, I could be wrong but it couldnt hurt to call and ask.

I would have thought so too; it's worth a call - may depend on the dealer too.
