"Crush" washer

Hey guys.....I was just reading Acura FAQs and see that the washer for the oil pan drain plug is supposed to be replaced every time the oil is drained because it is a "crush" washer that is not reusable.

Do you all replace this washer every time? I just changed my oil and reused the washer....no leaks.

Re: "Crush" washer

It will be ok to use it maybe twice but I wouldnt use it any more than that, they wear out pretty quickly.

Re: "Crush" washer

I got mine from the service department manager....but hes my bitch so he gave me a ton of them free... tell them you want some, if they want a part number as they can sometimes be dumbasses it is 94109-12000. They should be pretty cheap and im sure you can probably find some generic brand at NAPA or something.

Re: "Crush" washer

Sorry, I get a little misty-eyed thinking about the Low Country. It's so freaking beautiful, especially to someone stuck in Michigan during one of the three seasons of Winter here. (You know, Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter).
