we got a 2002 explorer with a auto tanny,shifter on the tree, when I shift into park between R AND P It kinda gets hung up and I must wiggle the shift lever a little to get it all the way into park..........any ideas on what to look for....Thanks muchly

Re: gear shift hang up from reverise to park
ive noticed on a lot of vehicles, the bracket that connects the shifter to the linkage comes loose and there are two screws that hold it on. if you work your way under the dash and use a light and get the right covers out of the way, you can wiggle the shifter and see where it connects. tighten those two scerws up and you should be good.
