Honda Civic VTi HB 1994

What do you guys think bout my babii's Honda Civic VTi HB 1994 model?
-White in colour
-CAI
-Lowered on hubcaps. Stockies (looks good) hehe.
-B16A Engine
-N/A tune, just a little bit.
-Full exhaust system
-Apexi N1 Exhaust - the exhaust i always wanted! :sun:
-Pioneer Sound System, includes amp, subwoofer, 4way speakers and tweeter.

Just bought it off my freinds ex gf's brothers car. $15G.

i just wanted to ask, isnt the B16A a Si engine? after i bought it, i was wondering, because my Civic that my mum now owns have a B16A in it. and its a Si. Or did the ex owner of that car change it?

And, the car is god damn low, and it has no kit. is it legit to drive on the road? plus it has tannee's clear taillights. Is that legal too? im going to change it soon, but got no money now, so i just wanted to know so i can change it as quick as possible.

Oh, and i forgot, where can i get the clear and red lights for the Civic Hatch? have you seen those lights before? It looks pretty nice.I don't like those amber and red colour taillights. and yeah, do you know where to get those clear corner lights? you know where the headlights are? ypu, those ones.
=)

Can you fill me in?
Thanks.

Just out of interest, is this YOUR car or your gf's car? If it's your, wanna give me the integra ? Anyway, the 5th gen never came out with a B16A in Australia but it is one of the most popular swaps in Australia. In the Japanese SiRII it came with a B16A. Good to hear from you,. What is the parental/pregnancy situation?

My fiance's car. ahehe. thanks ozriceboy. its going okie. My fiance is getting pissed at everyone! haha. its not annoying but very cute.

so, the engine was a swap? Is there a way to tell if the owner has been thrashing the car alot? because since he swaped the engine with all those mods, do you think he thrashed it alot?
i want this car to be perfect condition. If its bad, i cant return it, so i have to tune it up at some honda dealer place. Do they do good jobs there?

btw, integra might be returned to my mum. thinking, but dont wanna loss it.

Ahh....congrats. Nice car. There are a few ways to check whether or not it has been thrashed. Check at the back of the block for any oil is the mian one. Check the oil - make sure it doesn't smell burnt. ONce it is warm, rev it all the way to the redline and check for any noises with the windows down. Check the CV joints - drive it around in a circle at full lock and listen for clicking noises. Umm....can't think of more. Get NRMA to check for about $100.

No, the NRMA don't defect cars. To get the smell out, bring it up to my carwash. We'll shampoo the interior and de oderize. If you're interested, PM me. I'll give you details.

Just the seats we shampoo. Get's a lot of the odour out. I guarantee we can do something significant for the smell. It's almost impossible to get it out completely. Oh well. We also guarantee no damage, or we pay for it.

VTi was the economy SOHC VTEC engine not the B16A. The Si was DOHC non-VTEC and the 6G VTiR Coupe and hatch only got the B16A in Australia. The 3G CRX (Del Sol) was the only other Aussie car to get the B16A.

Clears are illegal - eventually you will be pulled over and defected for them. The lowest possible height for your car is 100mm from the ground to the lowest part of your car (this includes the exhaust pipe). Any lower and you may ask for it - not to mention the fact that it sounds like a backyard job and the car could be dangerous to drive.

Cheers

The Si came with the engine you mentioned. The VTi came with 1600cc SOHC VTEC.

My freind cut his springs on his pulsar, and it bounced like a bitch. so yeah. and the lights, god damn it. 100mm isnt that high ay? I dont know bout the height right now. I'll go measure it tomorrow. It's dark outside. hehe
