code 32 - but not the egr

replaced the egr today on my 4.3 vortec - did not solve the poor idling and code 32 showing up.

any suggestions? someone said the fuel pressure regulator????

Just a thought. While you could have injector / regulator troubles, have you tried cleaning the IAC valve on your engine? Also, it would be better if you advised year, motor, etc. so the folks here can offer advice. Have you tuned the engine and replaced cap and rotor?

thank you for the reply. the car is a 1994 Jimmy, thanks for reminding me about the year.

I installed a new EGR and after one day the code is back and the engine is running poorly again. very frustrating.

I have not tried the IAC. Will try it. But why would code 32 be flashing again with a new EGR? What else can lead to such an error code?

Remove the EGR valve and check for carbon blocking it open again.
