Re: What spark plugs to use
Platinum is a shitty conductor, copper a shit load better. Platinum is supposed to last longer, however I had them in my car for a while and after 2-3k miles they started misfiring. Bosch and DSM just don't go together

Re: What spark plugs to use
I guess that would depend on whether it was turbo or not... I think. Cause, the turbo eclipse requires colder spark plugs. I'm not too sure about non turbo.
Is NGK a colder spark plug?

Re: What spark plugs to use
The brand has noting to do with colder and hotter plugs, each brand has its own range of plugs that are colder and hotter. For example NGK does it like this:
NGK BPR6ES The 6 is what heat range the plug is.. If you goto 7 it will be colder If you goto 5 it will be hotter

Re: What spark plugs to use
I can tell you that Bosch platinum plugs run fine in a non turbo 1G DSM, no reason they won't run well in a 2G. I'm using the multi-tip, which are Bosch's best. My first set lasted over 100,000 miles and could have gone longer. I've never had a problem with misfiring, at least not due to the plugs.

Re: What spark plugs to use
Well I have had a bad experience with Bosch and I know others have also. NGK's are a LOT cheaper, I usually change them every oil change to every other oil change.

Re: What spark plugs to use
I have the NGK R's and they seem pretty good... gonna try the bpr7es soon... I tried to get bosch platinum 4's but they don't allow the plug boot to snap in... from the "seat" to the top of plug isn't long enough for plug wire boot!!! I tried the platinum and it ran shittier than the old ngk-r's that came in car when I bought it!!!
