need help with a 98 windstar

My car had gas in the oil , went and had it tested and came back with 3 codes. DTC P1744, I have no clue what this one is!! And then p1512 intake manifold runner stuck closed bank 1 and P1513 intake manifold runner stuck closed bank 2. Any clue on how to fix these?

Re: need help with a 98 windstar

hmm... well according to my first resource, 1744 shouldn't apply to a Ford. I'd have to research that more thoroughly.

Your first and primary problem is the gasoline in the oil. Last time I saw that was on a Sunbird a couple decades ago, turned out to be a cracked block.

Don't know if that's your problem or not, possibly a Fuel Pressure regulator blown and allowing fuel to be sucked into the intake.

Don't go drivin' that thing around unti lyou resolve that issue... not oonly is it an explosion hazard, but the gasoline will prevent the oil from doing its job, which is cooling and friction reduction-- result would be a siezed engine at best.

Your IMRC problems can be explained by the fuel entering the intake at a high rate, or the vaccum to the IMRC actuators is missing for whatever reason. COncentrate on the fuel issue first.
