Red face Need Help With 94 Intrepid Please!!!!!!!

Hello all, I'm in need of despert help with my 94 intrepid. I started it yesterday morning, when I was going to work, and something popped, then it started idleing really ruff. Well on the way home from work, it had no power at all. I had the gas to the floor and it was bearly moving. I took it to a service station to see if they would put it on a machine to find out what it was, but it WOULD NOT stay running long enough to do the test. I suppose to take it to the shop tomorrow, but I am afraid that it will not make it. Because it will not stay running. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all,

Kathey

Ps. maybe If someone knows what the problem is, then I can buy the part and have a family member to put it on. I am low on funds
.

I would have to hazzard a guess that the Fuel Pump is the culprit judging by the loss of power but that is just a guess. They are not cheap but fairly easy to change, there is an access panel behind the back seat in the trunk floor under the matting that needs removed to gain access to the Pump.
