Can someone confirm....

I found this engine importer on the net: http://www.neishlinmotors.com

I emailed them on some price quotes for a BB DET and a manual P10 LSD tranny. This was thier reply:

Quote:
Blue Bird SR20DE FWD available(none turbo) $2000.00 a front clip only AWD blue bird is turbocharged
P10 Infiniti G20T (LSD) manual transmission available(LSD not sure)
blue bird sr20de(fwd) with LSD $2550.00

Tell me they're wrong???

The bluebird did come turbo and non correct?

Also, I thought the GTI-R was the only AWD SR20DET?

Thanks

They have a good rep, but 90% of their business is RWD DET stuff.

The prices arent bad. Anything below $2000 for a BB DET is good, anything below $2500 for a GTI-R DET is good.

The DET's are used. They come with AWD trannies. You just scrap the tranny and your FWD tranny bolts up to it.

I thought you meant that place wanted $2000 for a DET and $2500 for a manual tranny, LOL..

All you need is the engine, your current tranny will bolt up to it. Either way JGY can give you a better price, plus install it for you.. they're very close to you.

No there not new. The usual 25-30K miles used engines.

The motor will work but I will have to use the P10 tranny.

Brian answered the cost factor

Time will tell the prices are dropping slightly, but I'm not ready just yet.

No

It was just the fact that the guy said. Oh crap the quote turned out wrong:

He said that the AWD bluebird is turbocharged. I thought the GTI-R was the only AWD and that the FWD BB is turbocharged Thats why I was like

Correct, it came with several engines in FWD and the SR20DE and SR20DET in AWD.

Nope.

All SR20DET engines came either in RWD cars (won't work in ours) or in AWD cars (they bolt right up to our gearboxes), but no FWD cars.

OIC, I thought the GTI-R was the only AWD SR20DET. I was not aware that the blue bird came AWD turbo.

Yea I'm familar with the RWD SR20DET that are different and won't work in our FWD.

BTW when are you going to add the turbo G pics to the site.

I finally got mine up take a look on the homepage link
