94' cutlass supreme,no run at 70F no start at 90F.

I have a 94' olds cutlass supreme that will start and run fine on any day that is 90 degrees F, or less. On days of that temperature or less, I can run it around all I want with very few problems, except if the engine gets over 150 degrees F. It still will run fine, but if I shut it off, it will start for about 10 seconds and die. I then have to wait for around 30 minutes before it will start again and stay running until I shut it off again. Then repeat the process.
At 90 degrees F and above it will ONLY start for about 10 seconds and then die. I can not get it started and keep it running at all at that atmospheric temperature.
Last year I had the fuel injector replaced, and it ran fine for a month, then it started doing this crap. My "so called" mechanic buddy said that it was the fuel pump that caused this problem. I have never heard of an in the tank fuel pump being regulated on its shitty operation by the under the hood temperature. I think it is the replaced injector, but not sure. Does anyone out there have any good theories or had the same problem? Thank you for reading this, and thank you even more if you have any advise.

Re: 94' cutlass supreme,no run at 70F no start at 90F.

There are several possibilities here. First the fuel pump could be overheating and causing the problem when the temperature gets over 90 but that is doubtful. The next possibility is that the fuel pressure regulator has a leak and is not getting enough pressure to the injectors but that is doubtful too because it only happens when the temp is over 90. As far as your injector theory that is possible but doubtful since the car will restart and run. If the injectors were bad they would shut down each time the engine temp gets above 150. I would look more toward the ignition module or the crank position sensor causing your problem. However, one question does the security light come on when the engine stalls? If so the problem may be in your ignition or passlock system rather than the engine itself.

PS. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank is not regulated by under hood temps but it can overheat if the fuel level is too low in hot weather since the fuel keeps it cool.
