Question Open carrier

Does anyone know if the stock 1993 Crown Victoria has an open carrier rear end? What is that exactly? Thanks.

Re: Open carrier

An open carrier referrs to the differential, and that it is not a "locking" or "limited slip" type, but either wheel is free to spin.

Most every vehicle made has this type of differential.
